Why cancellation terms vary

Phuket activities, transport, charters and multi-day trips do not all use the same cancellation rules. The terms that apply to a purchase are the specific terms shown or confirmed for that arrangement before payment.

Before paying

Check the travel date, names, ages, pickup area, inclusions, exclusions and the cancellation deadline. Ask before paying if any part is unclear. Do not assume that one trip’s terms apply to a different product.

If you need to cancel or change

Contact Visit Phuket as soon as possible and provide the booking reference, lead traveller name and requested change. A change is not confirmed until Visit Phuket has acknowledged it. Charges or refund limits may depend on timing and the terms attached to the purchased service.

Weather, safety and operational changes

Rain alone does not automatically cancel an activity. Qualified staff, captains and authorities decide whether conditions are safe. If the planned service cannot operate, the available outcome may be a changed route, alternative date, credit or refund depending on the confirmed terms and circumstances.

Refund timing

When a refund is approved, processing time can include both Visit Phuket’s administration and the bank or payment provider’s own timescale. Refunds are normally returned through the original payment route where possible.
