Koh Racha is the perfect destination for those who want to spend a relaxing holiday exploring the coral reefs for diving and snorkelling. Koh Khao Noi, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Thailand, offers a unique opportunity to escape to the island if you are looking for an unspoilt bay surrounded by blooming reefs, stunning corals and hidden wrecks, all within a few hours drive of the capital.
The dive sites here on the island offer a wide variety of protected bays, reefs and wrecks as well as some of the best snorkelling in the world. Almost every dive site is accessible by boat from Racha Yai Diving Tour, the most popular dive tour in Thailand, and it is highly recommended to visit nearly all of them. Rachasai Diving Tours are suitable for all certified divers levels, both inside and outside Racha Noi, but they are also a fantastic place for training and diving courses. Do not ignore what you find on the sand right in front of the reef, because the variety and the stony corals make the Rachtasnoi dive sites shine.
I would recommend visiting Koh Racha Island, as it has been voted the best-preserved aquatic ecosystem in Thailand.
Ko Racha Noi is located south of the sister island and is ideal for experienced divers and divers. Charter a long or motorboat from Phuket’s Chalong Pier or book a private boat that is normally offered to go to the island – day trips to many islands. On Koh Rachasai it is possible (and usually worthwhile) to charter long and motorboats, but usually only for a few hours.
The trip cost no more than 300 Baht, and if you stay in Phuket city, you can take a taxi or a tuk on the island. You will land on the beach of Patok, and you will understand that it is also the beach with most people. If you land at Phuket International Airport and drive directly to Koh Racha Noi to reach Phuket, go to the taxi service where the taxi centre is located.
The distance from Phuket is not so long that it takes only about 30 minutes to reach Koh Racha by speedboat, but if you rent a long tail boat at Rawai Beach, it takes more than an hour to get Koh Racha. The island has many advantages because it is a fine white sandy beach; you are only a step away from the shore and can swim with fish. You can also go to the other side of the island to reach the Bay of Siam and the beach of Sien.
If you are on holiday in Phuket, the Racha Islands must visit them at least for a day trip, but if you stay a few nights, you can enjoy the peace that the island has to offer. Many tour operators on Phuket offer day and night tours to the Kohratha Islands and other islands in the Bay of Siam. Instead of making the day trip, I would recommend staying at least one or two nights on the island and enjoying Koh Rochas. You can also drive to Phuket for two or three days, stay in one of the many hotels and restaurants on San Road and enjoy all the amenities that this island has to offer.
All in all, if island hopping is your priority, a Koh Racha island tour in Phuket will tick all the boxes for you. If you would like to take a day or night trip to one of the other islands in the Bay of Siam, I would recommend and recommend Easy Day Thailand’s team whenever you can. I have planned a course at Rochas Noi with almost all Phuket dive sites, which can be used for fantastic drift dives.
The time to go to Koh Racha Yai and Noi is to visit Phuket during the dry season and in November when rain is expected. During this time, the region is the lowest season for monsoon winds, so you will be protected if protected, making it an excellent time for divers who come here. Even if your boat was cancelled during your trip to the island, it welcomes tourists with open arms.
Koh Racha Noi is overlooked because so many tourists (including dive tourists) go to Phuket to enjoy the beautiful beaches, beautiful scenery and diving experience. Perhaps that’s why I decided to take a trip to Rachacha, which is in itself my first holiday in many years. Its well-known and attractive name makes it one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island of Koh Rachoengsao.
Koh Racha is located in the Andaman Sea and is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island of Koh Rachoengsao. Rachacha Yai is located about 10 miles south of Phuket, while the other two main islands, Khao Noi and Koh Chiang Mai, are located at a similar distance to Phuket.
